REDFERN: Over the last few weeks the Aboriginal Housing Company has been excited to see work progressing well on the Pemulwuy Project site.

On Precinct 1 (Affordable housing/gym/gallery): the formwork for the ground floor area for the new Elouera Tony Mundine gym and gallery has been completed. The concrete has been poured for basement 1 and the basement mezzanine. Excavation is 95 per cent completed, and drainage has been prepared for the townhouses towards the back of the site.

On Precinct 3 (Col James Student Accommodation): the first slab of the ground floor for student housing has been laid and the lift shaft has been poured. Underground services for stormwater, sewage etc are 50 per cent complete and underground conduits are being laid for site power. The main sprinkler tank has been constructed, which is the backup for the street mains in case of fire. The tower boom for concrete pours has been installed.
