'Outrage' over Redfern apartment advertisements

Residents in the inner Sydney suburb of Redfern have expressed outrage over an advertisement for luxury apartments luring buyers by claiming Aboriginal people have "moved out" of the area.

Residents in the inner Sydney suburb of Redfern have expressed outrage over an advertisement for luxury apartments luring buyers by claiming Aboriginal people have "moved out" of the area. 

Great Fortune Investments is one of several firms marketing for the building company Dei Corp apartments, selling a variety of new developments in Sydney to Chinese and Asian buyers.

The Chinese marketing firm says the advertisement has been taken down but it's blamed translation for the issue.

Bronwyn Penrith is a Redfern resident and the Chairperson of the Mudgin-gal Aboriginal Women's Centre.

She's told Zara Zaher the people of Redfern are offended by the advertisement.
