About the author (2004)

Maryrose Casey is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Centre for Drama and Theatre Studies at Monash University. Her previous UQP book, Creating Frames- Contemporary Indigenous Theatre (2004) won both the Walter McRae Russell Award (2005) and the Rob Jordan Prize (2006). She has contributed entries on Australian Indigenous performance and Australian Women Playwrights to the Columbia University Press Encyclopaedia of Modern Drama as well as publishing papers in scholarly journals.
